This jewellery or trinket box is carved from a solid piece of recycled native NZ Rimu timber, one of New Zealand's most loved native timbers. Rimu has a beautiful honey colour and gorgeous grain.

The Rimu keepsake box is adorned with a contemporary engraved design of the Puhoro pattern, the design that adorns waka canoes. The puhoro design represents the ripples and swirls occurring when a hoe paddle goes through water, and symbolises agility, speed, and dexteriy.
